It has come to my attention that there is a group on DA who has zero tolerance for mature work. According to them, any work with an erotic or sensual nature to it makes it “ornographic”. They will do everything in their power to not just get your work deleted but to get you banned as well. I cannot say any names for a number of reasons. One of them is because I don’t want any one of you guys approaching them and getting caught up in the crossfire or starting up an unnecessary flame war . Two because like in number one I don’t want them tracing back to any other erotic writers on here and attacking them. I don’t know why but I have this sneaking suspicion that things on here are going to get really, really ugly. It’s like a calm before a violent storm.

I simply implore you all to be cautious. Find another writing site like I did and post all of your current work there as soon as you can. Then upload links to those pieces in a journal. After all the rules state linking to deleted pieces goes against policy. Ahhh, but what about linking to pieces that are still up and running? Lol, watch those hypocrites make a new rule at the last second.

Please understand I didn‘t tell you about this so you could start a flame war. I told you this to protect your work. Your art. This is deviantART. Erotica is a form of art whether it is written or painted or photographed. In my honest opinion if the mods and admins didn’t want supposed “orn” on their site then why did they make an erotic genre at all? They had to have known that it would spark many problems among artists. I believe that as long as the piece is tagged Mature and blocks anyone under 18 (or anyone not a member of DA) from seeing the drawing/painting/photo/writing then there should be no problem.

There have been many cases where little kids (I’m talking 10-12 year olds) will sign up on this site as legal adults and then go crying to mommy and daddy when they see something “nasty” on here. Or mommy and daddy catch them looking at mature work and blow a gasket and get all pissed at the owners of DA for not having filters.

If little Timmy signs up as an +18 year old then obviously he knows what he’s looking for, so any blame for what he sees on here should not be laid on the owners of DA but on his parents for :

A) Not monitoring what he does online.
B)Not having parental controls on the computer.
C)Not explaining to him that there are some things he’s just way too young to see.



Another thing that has come to my attention is the constant suspension and work deletion of a certain deviants erotica. Recently their erotic work has been removed. All except for one. A nude shot of his wife. Now don’t get me wrong the shot is beautiful. But what has me angry here is that the writing is “Oh so terribly wrong and pornographic” but the nude shot is still kept up because it’s viewed as artistic (which it is). So erotic writing is not artistic but only erotic photography is??? Ummmmmmmm what? Do you see what I mean by the word “hypocrite” now?

If worst comes to worst please note that I will be putting my work into storage until things blow over. I’ll still upload work, yes, but I’ll probably leave it up for a week or two before storing it. Yes, this is the way it has to be. And by the worst happening I mean by having these people harass me and threaten to report me. One comment from them will be all it takes for me to lockdown everything I’ve created. I don’t think it’s childish or cowardice to protect my work, do you? I’m sorry that this had to happen. I’m sorry that a group of assholes had to form a collective and target erotic artists. I think they already got one the erotic photographers that I was very fond of. !clear-moments was his name. Beautiful work wasn’t it? So it seems it’s not just erotic writers that are getting attacked but erotic photographers as well. Though I still say the admins are choosy about which photographers they ban. If the photographer is doing erotica they get banned if they do cheap, soft porn then they stay. Simple as that obviously.

As I said from before: Please, please take a careful watch over your work.

Also if you can or if you want to, copy this journal and warn any other erotic artists you know of.

Joining

Joining is very easy. Just send a note asking to join and add us to your watch list and we shall do the same.

Submissions

When you have a deviation you would like to submit to us, give us the link in a note. When we submit the work, we will lay no claims to the work and will give the link to your original piece so you can receive due credit.


Personal Issues

Please keep personal issues to a minimum, and don't duke it out on the clubs page. If things become serious, like someone is stalking a member, report it immediately to the DA admins and that user will be blocked from this club. Your safety is more important to us than you know.

If there is abuse going on between members, please, send us a note with the name(s) and that person will be blocked.
